Trees @ stones appear on roads
I replaced a fried hard drive & reinstalled Cities Skylines. Now trees and stones appear on all roads. What can I do short of bull dozing each and every tree and stone?

Use the Move It! mod to move the trees & stones to other places where you'd like them to be.

what mod is causing this issue? I thought it might be a related to the Fine Road anarchy or Prop and Tree anarchy but looking at the settings in cannot seem to locate one that would correct the issue

I've also had troubles with trees since the recent update which allows trees on tree roads to be changed. It seems many have had issues.

When you build roads and have trees sticking through the roads and rocks remaining, you've probably got 'Collision' disabled.

This is an option of the 'Fine Road Anarchy' mod. And is represented by a button with an explosion in it.

Make sure the button is blue (enabled) when building roads. Anything in the path of where you then build your roads get demolished.

Hi Max, I see that I have collision enabled and this is still happening. Also an additional case i remembered is when I build a road conformed to the terrain and the terrain often deforms to below terrain height, no trees or props will appear. But when I select the nodes and level to terrain height with move-it mod, those roads will then have props and trees appear through them.

The best advice I can give you is to bulldoze the road, then bulldoze the trees and rocks with Move-It then rebuild the roads. One should bulldoze everything in a roads path prior to placing the roads due to the game just hiding those props and not actually getting rid of them.

*Your way may work for your play style but I aim to identify the offending Mod/setting.

The game has limits, including props/trees. With a road just hiding trees or other objects, you can hit those limits, especially if you like to decorate your city. By bulldozing them before you place roads, you avoid hitting those limits. There is nothing wrong with wanting to find the offending mod and getting rid of it, but there is also nothing wrong with not letting the game hit limits when it can be avoided.

 I hope my first response didn't seem rude. I can see you are genuinely trying to help, and I appreciate that.

It's all good. While my cities do not get large enough to hit limits, I do take into account the limits of my computer. Reading these forums on a daily basis (and the only one I do so with even though I play other games), allows me to learn more about the game and the issues that arise due to others complaining about said issues.

That you see that I am trying to help is good. Thanks.

Can you show a screenshot of that?

One thing I can think of is that you're building the roads in FRT's 'Elevated' mode. Do these roads have zoning blocks next to them?
