With this mod you can select which buildings are part of a certain style.
Getting a nice style with a nice variety of buildings is quite the challenge.
If you want a building that matches each size and level availlable you'll need about 80 different buildings. (16 different sizes x 5 levels). And then they all need to meet the style (modern, suburban, american, european, old, modern, etc) and category (low-density vs high density, residential vs commercial vs specializations such as eco houses)
If the style doesn't include any level 1 buildings it will not work. Because growables begin at level 1 and get upgraded when land value and education goes up. So no level 1 buildings, means nothing will grow in your zoned area. The mod linked above has a 'cloning' option in it, with it you could clone a level 2 building and create a level 1 building with it. But this option is still experimental I believe, and if something goes wrong you'll lose these buildings.
I've given it a try recently, but became quite annoyed with it tbh. It's a LOT of work finding the right buildings on the Workshop that meat each criteria. Good luck!
I will try this mod. I picked like 10 different district styles and thought it was maybe too mcuh at once too, but it does put in the buildings every once in a while.
I also now found a guildeline for beginners. On top it says "do never subscribe to all things in a pack because of performance" but further down it says "U have to subscribe to all items in the style to actually make them work" I have subscribed to them and have no performance issues yet. I will try this mod today and will see to make it work. I have this one mod thing that was required for something and you can place every single building with it. It will be more work since I have to place every building on my own but at least I can pick what house I want I guess.
Thank you for your answer, much appreciated!
