So maybe you should move it back to your map folder and rename it into a .CRP and use the loading screen mod.
I tried doing all of it. I cant seem to rename it to .crp and I cannot launch the map in the map loader.
Should I just share it and someone else try?
Did you figure something about this?
I spend over 30 hours on a map and the exact same issue appeared. I moved the .cct file to the maps folder, and after launch I can see the map, but in red and it cannot be launched. I tried and changed the file type to .crp but then it doesn't even show in game.
The error when I was in editing was:

An error occurred while packing to the save file.

and should still be loadable[System.IO.IOException]

Please help me, I cannot have wasted so many hours on this map...
Be careful with workshop and and don't have other apps running. If you run out of memory, then this issue can occur and possibly kill your save file.
Whenever you save your work on map creation, you should always save the file with a new name. like city1. then city2, etc.
Yup I believe that's it with the map, but yeah thanks for the advise.
