Is there a maximum for exports?
since my last death wave wiped out large parts of my commercial districts I have a massive export surplus and my industry is dying. All buildings are complaining about "not enough buyers".
I have 3 cargo train stations and 3 harbor/train station combos, which are mostly idle.
I also dont have traffic problems.
Why does my industry stop exporting after 10-14k?
I havent reached vehicle limit yet.

Different question: Why do I have 3k sick people but cant find them on the map? My health center isnt sending any emergency vehicles either.

Q 1 : 13000 is the limit for import / export except mail
Q 2 : check your noise overlay and your mods

If there is such a limit I haven't hit it yet. I have however noticed that my export destinations get full up sometimes and I have to create another destination (outside connection) to get things moving again. I really think it has more to do with vehicle restrictions or limits though because a good dose of "clear all traffic" usually does the trick.

Sorry I can't help you with sick people as I have no experience with that type of thing. The people in my cities either don't get sick or take their troubles to the doctor and not the mayor. :)

BucketBrain is right, vanilla game imp/exp limit is 13k. There‘s a mod extending these limits „Configure Outside Connections' Limits“, but i haven‘t tried it yet, so can‘t tell if it‘s working fine.

In addition to the export limit you're probably in the realm of possibility for hitting the vehicle limit as well. The cap of about 13k makes sense as exporting a product usually involves a truck at some point.

This seems to be it then. Seems like I have to fix my commercial districts.
Q 2 : check your noise overlay and your mods
Could be noise sickness then. Is there any way to locate noise sickness better? The vanilla screen doesnt really highlight affected residential.

I currently use up 6k cars. Vanilla limit is 16k. I also use the more vehicles mod, so my actual limit should be 64k.

Are you using vanilla specialized industry, generic industries or the DLC industries? If the first two, you have way too much

Also, do not zone large tracts of residential areas at one time as they will all reach death at the same time and cause problems.

Q2 look at pollution view and your water system, do any water lines get drawn in lughtbor medium fray. This is a problem. I have had to replace water connection to parts of city delivering clear water and waiting for it to clear. But I could find the clusters of suck people.

Are there asy sick people on your hospitals, or do the links still connect sickness to their hones which you cannot find.

What mods are you running? Which of them might interfere with sickness reporting and tracking?

" 13000 is the limit for import / export except mail " ?
Is that generic or DLC or both?

And 13000 what ? I mean 13k Barrels, Gallons, Units. Transactions, What? and for who ? I mean total, combined, each, type, at one time, game limit. ? Where can I read up on this?

13,000 cargo units afaik. You can read up on the games mechanics at the wiki

Sorry, found no reference to cargo units or 13k limit in wiki. Can you narrow down the parameters a little.

If it is Cargo Units does it mean ALL cargo units by air, water, and land combined or for each producer ?

How do I track cargo units? Is a cargo unit of oil the same size as a cargo unit of hides?

Yes all outside connection types combined. To track it, simply bring up the import/export panel. Its my understanding its 13,000 per commodity (ie 13,000 ore etc)

THis mod also helps ;

OK found some of the info I was looking for in the "Supply Chain" wiki. According to the wiki, 1,000 units of a product is equal to 1 ton or 1 barrel of cargo. With that in mind I return to the game and check the info for the four different industries expecting (according to the 13k limit) to find total production rates at something less than 13 tons per each industry. Keep in mind that in my case there is NO local demand for industry goods so everything goes directly to export. Any how here's what I find.

All four industries running full tilt at 100% + efficiency exporting at 1005 and importing 0.
One producing industry I have shows a weekly total of 224 tons, which rules out the 13k per game question and would seem to through cold water on the per industry idea as well. So lets look at the big picture and all the weekly totals.

I have the one at 224
1 @ 328
1 @ 152
&
1 @ 280

That's about 984 tons per week, 140 per day, 5.8 tons per hour. This rules out the 13K limit being applied to anything except an "at the moment" situation. Meaning that as long as you are not commutatively exporting 13 tons or more at any given second, you should be good to go.
However, If some one has a better or clearer explanation I would be very interested in hearing it and will be happy to stand corrected.

As far as my understanding is you have got it pretty much spot on. Honestly IDK about the 13k limit precisely. Its just I know that there is one as with many of the games systems.

I have a feeling the actual timer is per second and I know its "at the gate" so to speak, so your right in your assessment of needing a large excess in a short time frame to get near the limit. My current city is at a total of 18k exports of produce, so I know its not a hard 13k trade limit.

Thanks MM. That's exactly why I asked the question in the first place. If a 13000 limit (or any limit on cu's for that mater) on cargo units had been listed in CSL SML or had I ever experienced any difficulty or issues exporting goods, I would not have inquired as to the source.
