Game do not start after adding "CSL Music Mod"
Hi Freaks
I'm a newby and just try to setup my environment to meet my requirements :-)
So I di find "CSL Music Mod" and add it to my mods
First start does work but then I put a OGG file into the directory.
That was not a good idea as C:S does not start anymore
I disabled all mods by --disableMods --noWorkshop
Nope, the game shows a initiale background and then the birds do endless rounds
In the log file I found this:
-----
NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I look's like, the "RadioChannelInfo" is broken.

Any idea what to do
And/or how to restore a saved game?

TIA
Ingo

Do you have an earlier save from that city? If so, you can go back and open that one and keep playing without much loss, if not, you save will most likely be a total loss.

Yes, I do have a lot of saved games (.crp-Files) :-)
But how to load a saved game if the game does not start?
Is there any way to go to the main menu with this "load game" option with out starting the game?

Hi Freaks

As I mention, I'm a newby.
Now I found a way to load a saved game.
Just start a new game and then load one of your saved ones :-)

First step to solve the problem is done.
But there is still the question, how to use "CSL Music Mod" with out destrying everythink :-)

That error usually means you are out of memory.

More RAM is the best solution.

but you can temporarily try increasing your Window's page file for more memory, but it is slower than RAM.

And here's a video to help you as well. But follow the instructions in the written guide above.

I do have 32 GB RAM
And the GPU is a Radeon RX570 with 20 GB
That must be enough :-)

I believe that could be a problem with the "CSL Music Mod" and an OGG-file of 54 MB?

I will save the game and try aganin to use this mod.
Maybe at second chance :-)

I disabled all mods by --disableMods --noWorkshop

try removing both of these. You likely have workshop tied to the saved game and now it won't load without some specific workshop items.

How does starting a new game work?

Hi

After removing the Music-Mod (and of course the disable option) C:S starts up with out an error :-)
If I got a little bit of time, I will try the mod again.
Now I know how to reset a game to a previouse version :-)
