Handle it like a bus line
You have a path ( street )to give the direction and then you have to draw routes
Don`t connect the path to a stop , connect the path and stops with ferry lines.It is like busses , you connect the street to the sidewalk using the bus line

I guess my next question will be...how to do bus lines. but I'll save that for later, when my kids arent' around and I can cuss freely!!

But I couldn't connect to the main shipping line, as they are outside my map area.
after making my lines tidy, clicking on everything yellow...and crying twice, Eureka!
