Sightseeing tours

I finally used this feature yesterday and put 3 lines down.

What I didn't expect that my city literally crashed in traffic chaos.

My city has been constantly above 80% with a population off 180k.

The traffic dropped below 45% and I scramble to look at the problem. Trash issues, dead people issues. Even the metro lines suffered?

I reduced how many busses they can span. The only other thing I can think off that the depot is a little far away.

Any other experience with the sightseeing busses?

I tried it once last year and it was quite small, just two stops I believe. I had a walking tour as well, but again, pretty small. Traffic seems to be always a mess in my cities, but I didn’t notice anything abnormal with the other things you mentioned.

Check that you haven't reached the vehicle instance limit.

Thank mate, I have that one already thanks to grapplehoeker.

It is not a vehicle limit as per that.

I will keep working on my traffic issues as I am usually successful to fix it myself.

It was just shocking how the whole city did suffer.

I have to admit the 3 routes are not massive but large. Let me try to post it.

Seems a bit strange that just a few tours could cause that much fallout, is it the stops or the amount of buses causing the issue?

I would say both - One line had 18 buses. They have roughly 5-7 stops

How many of the buses are full? Stop count seems reasonable.

none, anywhere from 5 - 15 people
that is why I reduced the busses on the lines

I can see a large amount of buses clogging up your traffic but doesn't male sense that the traffic is still bad after reducing them.

I tried a bus tour as well, seemed to mess up my traffic from the 80's to the upper 60s. I noticed alot of buses, so reduced # of busses. The number of people taking the tour was like 6 per bus. I tried long versus short lines, and they always seem to mess up my traffic, so I limited them to their own roads using TPME to restrict traffic to just buses and it did better, but it was so wierd as well.
