So how are Concerts supposed to work?
I can't grasp how I'm supposed to make money off concerts.

At level 3, the Concert Grounds cost $1600 a week. You get two concerts a year, basically, so figure you've spent $41,600 just on maintenance of the grounds per concert.

I'll make anywhere between $35,000 and $50,000 on ticket sales usually, and this is with ticket prices maxed out at $50, the Music Club which increases sales by 10% (but adds an additional $12,480 in maintenance cost per concert), and all bands at 100 popularity.

BUT I have made MORE than a little over $50,000 a few times, which means your income isn't capped at the 1000 person capacity x $50. Great.

So, now figure in Ad Campaign and Premium Studio which cost a combined $12,000 a week. Now it costs $353,600 per concert! This isn't including Security costs. Throw in the maintenance fees for the Fan Zone Park, Media Broadcast Building and Music Club, and that ups it to $393,120.

So is it possible to make $400,000+? Have I just been doing it wrong?

You won't make money directly from the concerts. However it brings in a lot of tourists who bring in a great deal of revenue. Overall you'll come out ahead with the concerts as long as your commercial and mass transit are well built.

If you have parklife you'll see spikes in revenue from the good parks just after a concert finishes. The unique buildings from parklife are designed to maximize tourism as well so they synergize pretty well.

Okay, Promethian. I will keep an eye on my income from parks after concerts. My concert grounds are actually within an amusement park.

Thanks, I'll see what benefits I'm making.
