IT cluster issues
Sometimes, just out of the blue, my IT clusters will just start having these messages above them saying, "not enough buyers for products". Who are the buyers, and what do I need to do to get rid of that message? Its really causing problems in my cities because half of my offices will just be abandoned, destroying my cities economy and leaving me with nothing but large districts filled with abandoned sky scrapers and nothing in them...

IT Cluster are converted into industry with freight, but without traffic. (teleports freight instead)

The buyers are commerce, so they can sell products to the shoppers. Generic Industry is probably already providing the goods to commerce.

Maybe you have too much IT Clusters. since they don't export, they sit at the offices and wait forever for someone to pick them up and they complain if they don't get picked up. Either dezone IT or Generic Industry, or build more commerce.

I do not suggest building more commerce. It can create a lot of traffic if you have generic industry or Industries DLC.

Hrm , your ´´Sometimes, just out of the blue ´´ means , it happened before
l would be interested in a save game or some screenshots - trading ( import export ) + education + population overlay - to have a look at the hole scene

Whenever l´ve build cluster and the demand of the city is fulfilled , they start to export and work like a buffer .
Their IT-products are added to any other purple output of generic or unique industry .

So as this is a game and it is following his code , l think , the abandoned cluster are only the visible symptom to point out an issue at another place .
Like a clogged road , the issue is in front of the syptom .
If your Cluster go short in customer again and again it is a sign of a swapping demand in purple goods and the reason why it is like that , is the main issue to solve .
Your Cluster , less workforces + less output , work like birds in a coal mine in former times , they are the first dead .
Generic or Unique industry produce several times the output of an IT cluster , therefore they are not so fussy and reacting slower .

I think maybe it’s caused by zoning too many IT clusters because in my current city I have 5 different IT Cluster districts. At first they worked fine, no issues. After a while though, about every thirty minutes real time, they start complaining they don’t have any customers to buy from or sell to. I usually only have one or two IT cluster areas and never had the issue until I zoned a bunch of them. That, along with the many C zones I have, I believe is causing it.

I would like to see your overlays too .
Did or do your cluster export goods ?
In any case , if your population is going up and down about more than 5% your demand for goods and your workforces will follow that curve

yeah this is exactly what is happening with me. my traffic is fine, usually around 70% ish, and i have despawning traffic off. I definitely have large population swings (2,500 at a time with a total population of 55,000) because all my seniors die off at once, and right after they die off a lot of people are born/enter the city, starting the circle over again. I noticed the issue went away when I zoned some areas just regular offices, and only had 2 districts with IT clusters in them.

Actually the cycle of life and death never ends. With your Population overlay map and you will see the life and death spike cycle continue forever.
I took 4 screenshots, one of exports, one of traffic flow, one of population, and one showing my public transit routes taking people to and from work.
