Toll booth issue....
I placed tool booths on the highways coming in and out of my area.
3 of them seem to function normally.
Fourth one, going out of the city, all the vehicles use just one lane...
If i use TPM to force them to spread out, they just take the previous exit, drive through town, and enter using the last on ramp.

I tried restarting the game, and deleting the road and toll booth and placing them again.

Does someone with more experience have a suggestion on how i could remedy this?

I was going to attach a screenshot, but its proving more complicated than it should be.

First question: Is the toll booth the larger one or smaller one? I've had issues in the past with the larger ones not using all the lanes and have since stopped using them. I don't get this issue with the smaller toll booths.

Second question: How is posting a screenshot complicated? All you do is press F12 to take the pic. Then when you leave the game Steam opens a window with all of the pics you took during that session. When you click on a pic (or multiple ones) you're given an option to upload it here. After uploading you can then open your Steam profile in your prefered browser, navigate to your screenshots, click on the one you want to link to, copy the link and paste it here like so: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1852817396
Yes... It is the big toll booth...
But the other 3 work just fine... its the fourth one that refuses... but i guess i can try a smaller one.
Thanks.

I haven't done the screenshot sharing before, and the instructions on steam of how to do it seem more complicated than how to get to the moon....

1. F12 in game will take a screenshot.
2. After exiting the game, the Steam Upload Manager will pop up, allowing you to select which screenshots you took in game that you wish to upload to your Workshop/Profile.
3. Once the shots are in your Workshop/Profile, go to them and open them. They will each have their own page and URL. Copy the link to a screenshot and then paste it here.
Simple ;)
I'm pretty sure it's not he tollbooth causing the problem. There is something going on further down the the road that either forces trafiic to use the one lane, or all traffic wants to use that lane to go to a specific place. Check your lane arrows, lane connectors, vehicle restrictions on that piece of road, one-way roads, etc.

With you forcing them to spread out, they have no other way to find their route than going through town. That should make you think why they do that.

Figure out where they would go if they were to use the other lanes, and you will find the problem.

He said that further down the road is the edge of the map though.
Lane merging in the game is horrible tho. Even on normal roads with mods I got a hard time forcing them to use all lanes, and yet they refuse. A good overhaul mod for pathfinding would be great, as sometimes cims keep stuck in the same loophole.
it is the way you have built the city that forces the sims to use one lane.. and no mod can fix that. You want them to use more than one lane, give them a reason to use that other lane via another destination to go to.
^^ this
Well... I did some road tidying up and installed the tollbooth to have a screenshot of all the vehicles going down one lane, and it decided to work just fine....
Thanks for all the help, I guess i must have done something somewhere that I undid when i was mucking around with the roads.
Actually... i may have figured it out....
Because highway lanes are close to each other, i tried to place two tollbooths close to each other as well...
Now, the game lets you put two of them right next to each other, but the second one placed down had lanes blocked by the first one. Either before or after the tolls, all the traffic was moving into the further away lanes, and that depended on how close it was to the other tollbooth.

I don't know why it did it, and it doesn't seem like the normal behavour, because the other set of tollbooths are right up against each other and do not have this issue.
