I have lag with a good pc
Well, i have lag. I'm playing with 20 fps when i zoom in city. (+100.000 population)
When I'm full zoom out go 60 fps. I'm playing with almost all on High. But if i go with all low is the same problem. I'm using some mods and some assets, Should from that ? It's a mod what can cause lag? or assets

(With others game i don't have any lag or something. Only with this game.)

And i have: GTX 1060 6GB
i5 - 8600 K
and 8 GB RAM

this game is CPU intensive. I have a better machine and ocassionaly I do get some latency as well. It only occurs when you have a large city.

although I do notice some latency when I have opened the TM:PE panel. I just made a habbit to only open it when I need it.
8 GB ram is not really a lot for this game. Even when it says that it is a recommended system requirements it is by far not enough and specially if you add mods and a assets.

Some mods use more ram than others. I had frame issues with NEXT, TimeWarp and other heavy mods. But when I uninstalled them CS runs fine. Lowest fps is 30 in a city of 150,000 pops. And I still use some mods and assets with 8gb ram.
About 4 months ago I found a guide/test of how much each popular mods affect fps but I don't remember if it was here on steam or on youtube. I'm going to post the link if I can remember where I found it.

???
I doubeld my Ram up to 16 GB and I`m using 20 Mods and about 1800 assets
Running gentle using i7 3,4GHz and GTX 960 with more than 100k pop at 25 tiles
Loading time with loading screen mod is about 80 sec

This game needs CPU + Ram and it`s fine to use a fast SSD where everything is installed , but what experiences did you make ?

Try to uninstall unecesarry assets and mods. For me a mod called network skins and another mod, modern lights pack completely lagged my game when I used roads with custom lights. I deleted both of them and then the game runs fine. All three sliders increase the speed.

My PC's specs are i7 6700 3,4 Ghz, nVidia GTX 750 Ti, which can handle max settings, and 16 GB ram. Should I upgrade one of my specs?

Here are the links to threads that have tested several mods on performance scores:

Your proc and RAM is fine for virtually any modern titles these days, your graphic card though is on the weaker side. If you are planning to play lots of AAA games on 1080p resolution or higher with high to max settings then you can consider upgrading to something like a GTX 1060 with 6GB VRAM however for a game such as Cities Skylines, a GTX 750 Ti is sufficient unless you using some huge mega texture mod or playing beyond 1080p then consider upgrading to a better card with more VRAM.
