Help with dead body pick up
I looked up a few solutions on here last night and tried to implement. Mostly increasing property values by putting in Parks and putting in Public Transport to reduce traffic/traffic noise.

I have uploaded six screenshots to my profile (I can't figure out how to share them in a post). Four are from a generic Commercial Zone on the south side of a river and two from a High Density Residential on the north side of the river. Both seem to be experiencing the same problem, but have different causes...I think? Or maybe they are connected-all of the Commercial Zone dead bodies are delaying continuously increasing numbers of dead bodies in Residential Zones (and then it bonuses back?)?

Please, click into my profile and check out my screenshots and let me know what you think I should change for either zone to eliminate the blinking skulls! Thanks!

You showed everything except the most important one, your death care menu.

It is usually an issue of not enough death care coverage, especially if your traffic is flowing fine.

That highway is red, the hearses are probably on that clogged highway, just track down the car that is supposed to pick these bodies up but is stuck somewhere.

check your cemetary and crematorium capacity

65% is too slow for your hearse to get around to the addresses before the last person vacates the smelly building and it finally goes abandon. Even if you add more death care it wont help till traffic is at least 75% or 82% but you should able to see the results around 75%.

That lacks coverage

The green area is not a coverage area. Its for the efficiency like how fast the the hearse can go a pick dead body. But in game the vehicle does not necessary go to the nearest place. One cemetery.crematorium will cover a very large radius. and of course it all depend on the road and traffic.

But when referring to the screenshot, the area with only one cemetery/crematorium may not enough since other crematorium/cemetery can not help to reach or cover that area on time. But if given time, if the capacity is good. It will pickup all of the body eventually.

A little tip: Cemeteries are relatively cheap, and make people happy. And Crematoriums can burn far more than their meagre hearse numbers can collect. So you can give each neighbourhood its own cemetery -- and thus have plenty of death care coverage -- for relatively cheap, with a suprisingly small number of crematoriums to use for emptying Cemeteries when you're not in a death wave.

My solution : temporary construction CEMETERY w8 until CREMATORIUM unlock

Remove all CEMETERY and build CREMATORIUM as much as possible - u never see dead body anymore

I disargee : same recycling

Use Crematoriums instead of Cemeteries

Use Recycling Center instead of Landfill Site

Why ?

1/ Easy to move
2/ Save built ground
3/ More effective
4/ Get some money back from recycling
5/ Do not waste time emptying

Number 5. Micro manage is wasting time. I would like to suggest Empty It mod to auto manage the cemetery and landfill

Note that things are different for Landfills, since an Incineration Plant cannot burn garbage fast enough for even its own hypothetical truck count. So there's no point in a mixed system there.

OP, i believe your problem is you do not have any cemeteries in use, only crematoriums. some cims (whatever percentage it is) will not be picked up to be cremated because they are programmed to be buried.

someone correct me if im wrong, but my understanding of ingame deathcare is you need at least one cemetery to process those stubborn cims or they will not be picked up and processed.

Wrong.

I was going to say the same thing. I have seen in it writing somewhere but cannot find the source now - some cims specify how they want to be handled after death. Forces you to have both types. You could just have a single cemetery located centrally.

Another unhelpful tip is that when someone dies, a collection request is sent to any hearse currently out collecting. They could be on the opposite side of the city. I have seen this happen even when the body is next door to the crematorium with spare hearses. The point is that traffic is normally a big culprit when it comes to uncollected bodies. An area of gridlocked traffic anywhere in the city needs to be fixed.
