Fish Factory Issue
My fish factory is always low on fish. I have a dozen or so fishing piers scattered around my city (all operating at 100% efficiency) but very few of the trucks from them seem to go to the fish factory. Most of the trucks are shown as "exporting". Is there a proximity thing associated with the factory to the fishing piers? The fish factory is located right next to the shipping dock, the trucks are literally driving right past the factory and going to the shipping dock instead. Puzzler.

I think you need a warehouse to collect fish from the piers, so that the fish is available at the exact moment your factory demands it.

You can't store fish in warehouses.

Well damn... why not? Developer oversight? Come to think of it, why isn't there a fishing main building, either?

The entire fishing industry doesn't feel fully implemented yet... it feels like it needs another patch/update...

That is a good question. All the other industries have their own options for warehousing.

Well, in real life you wouldn't want to warehouse fish, right?

I find that when I place the factory, my harbours send the fish there a few times, then they complain there are no buyers - sending trucks out of the city, whilst the factory complains of not enough fish.

You need a fish factory. What you store in the warehouse is generic commercial goods (tuna cans?). It is also worth noting that the Fish industry isn't a fully developed one (to make it work without the industry DLC), so no zoning needed and a far less complicated production chain.

I think fish markets will keep more fish in the city.

I stopped fishing anchovies, as no one wants them..lol... the others are fine.

Anchovies works fine if you have the factory since it turns all fish into "Generic commercial goods". But if you want to sell or export fish it's better with the other kinds.

I've deleted the factory after I observed delivery trucks not deliveriung their load. They just sit there on the road at the factory but never actually deliver fish, with their status claiming they are off-loading their fish. If I delete the truck another will come along and deliver his load, only for it to repeat itself eventually when another truck will become "stuck".
