Hei!

Am i the only whoes experiencing band ratings only going negative?
My concert place is on max budget nad ticket prices are cheapest but for some reason after more than 20 concerts, all the bands only recieve negative ratings.... Is it a bug or there is something im missing?

Are you listening to the concert station? So far for me, if I listen to the station and skip a song that artist loses rating.

Plus make sure your arena has good transport links, or people arrive late and get a negative response.

If you make the tickets too cheap, you get a bad rating too.

Also note who is actually showing up to the gigs. If its mostly OAP's, your probably going to get bad rating.

Im not listening to the radio station at all. Is that actually an factor?

And it does have pretty much trafficless acces to the area and normally its pretty much sold out before the concert starts so i dont think people get there too late but as Slye Fox mentioned, maybe the ticket price is too low, which i would find weird that people rate the bands low just because they had to spend less money :D

I'm having the same problem. Nothing but negative popularity change. I've sold out concerts. Maxed, and min'ed the security, and ticket prices. Toggled the two advertisment, and band practice buffs. For the love of I hope it isn't tied into actually having to listen to the radio station. It's not that the music is bad, but they do get old really quick since only a few of them on loop, and I usually listen to spotify, amazon music, or podcasts while playing. Maybe I have to put up some radio towers. Don't have those in my city yet.

I honestly dont know if it is. As I said though, the ones I listed too tend to get a better response. One factor you might have overlooked is the weather. If you have dynamic weather on, going to a gig when its freezing and raining itsnt a great experience for you Cims.

No for my the weather is off so that couldnt be the issue either. Maybe, just maybe there is a mod that causing this?

I've only done one concert so far. I can't afford $12,000 a week on advertising and premo studio (not playing with the unlimited money mod), so I did without. Dropped ticket cost from $30 to $20 just to kinda boost interest at the early stage. NESTOR was the first band that played and interest dropped 14 points from 50 to 36. Ouch.

When it was all said and done I only made $4,000 off the concert. However, when thinking about it: even with full attendance and a higher ticket price, there's no way you'd make a profit at Stage 1 spending $12,000 a week.

I had the radio station set, but was also listening to the TV so I did mute the radio at that point. I hope that isn't part of the game. That'd be stupid as hell.

Having the same problem. Improved the public transport links, but mostly everyone continues to arrive by taxi or private car.

I was watching some youtuber checking out concerts, in an area with good transportation, maxing advertising and all... and he also saw his band lose popularity. I was undecided about this DLC but given what I have seen and what you are all saying it seems broken as hell and certainly not worth the price.
Smokerbait Aug 21, 2017 @ 2:05pm
Yeah, this DLC doesn't make any sense. Just watched another concert finish and I see a wave of green smiley faces radiate outward. That's a good sign. I check the festival and the band had actually lost popularity.

I'm finally getting postive popularity. I am fairly convinced that having radio towers in the city had the largest effect. The chirper starting bringing up comments about the bands which I don't ever recall seeing before I put up the towers. Also negative popularity which used to be in the high teens droped to neg low single digits, and even a 0.

I then did a double change. Moved the center in the middle of town next to an elementary and high school, and jacked the prices from 10 to 40. Started pulling in high positive teen popularity numbers every since. Don't know if it was the price jack, move or both that caused the change.

My concerts original spot was never hurting for vistors. It was a high tourist area with a football stadium across the street that would pull in 600+.

IMO the feedback loop of this dlc is incredible poor. That or it's bugged. Zoom down to a sold out concert and hear the crowd cheering, and poof negative 19 drop. Where you supposed to go with that other than blindly throwing darts hoping to find a solution.

Ticket prices appear to impact interest in the artist, and it seems certain artist get lower ratings no matter what (Nestor so far). I used both advertising methods and left the security cost at default value, then lowered one artist' ticket prices/kept one artist at default/raised another artist' prices (no radio tower in play, but I plan to add it next time I play, to see the new chirps).

In that order, I saw the impact of ticket prices (artist with lowest ticket price fell dramatically in popularity, while the artist with raised ticket prices rose in popularity. Artist with default price stayed the same).

Once I saw this, I went ahead and raised all three prices to the same amount, and all three began to rise, with Nestor struggling the most/rising the slowest for me.

Ive only played the DLC a few hours in one sitting so far, so havent had 7 concerts yet, but i have reached the 70 popoularity rating. Shoudl be able to upgrade the venue fairly soon once I get a chance to play again.
