How to use content creator packs
Hey I have a question, I recently bought the modern japan content creator pack and high tech content creator pack. How do I use these packs in game? They don't appear to me under district styles.

Same here.
I have 2 Creator packs but have never seen the buildings or found a menu for them.

I believe the Japan pack is mostly Unique Buildings plus a Hospital and maybe a school. It doesn't necessarily add an entire building or district theme.... Just as there's no 'Art Deco' that came with the pack of that name... It merely adds buildings to the existing themes. I could be totally wrong however...

Using the building themes MOD enables you to see all the Default buildings in the game (as well as enable them for specific themes of your choice)

Been looking for the Japan buildings and there does not appear to be any growable buildings for this content pack and no dedicated theme like European (Vanilla) and Euro Cubehouse (5$ content pack) which holds dedicates structures for growable areas with specific themes.

The built-in theme selector is very inferior to the MOD's ability to control area themes and buildings within each theme.

High Tech pack is a series of schools, unique buildings, and a power plant, among a few other things iirc, but it's not zonable buildings. You just place them where you want.

Content Creator Pack: University City provides growables, which is fine, but if you want to have a College Town vibe, you need the Building Themes mod to assign that set of buildings to the district.

It's a real grab bag of ways these things are handled and used.

This entire thread does not seem to have a straight answer on how to use Theme Packs. I have several, and yet no European/ japanese/Art Deco/ whatever buildings ever just appear. How do you actually USE these? Have they just been selling us packs of air disguised as usable DLC? Ridiculous... :estusempty:

They’re trying to tell you that it depends on which one you want to use. Neither the Japan pack nor the High Tech pack add district styles. They’re not advertised as adding district styles.

The Japan pack mostly adds unique buildings. To use this pack, go to the unique buildings menu, select a new building, and place it in your city.

The High Tech pack adds alternate schools, power plants and unique buildings. To use this pack, go to the appropriate menu, select a new building, and place it in your city.

Are Deco and European are growable assets. High Tech and Japan are unique buildings and are ploppable and are in the Unique Buildings tabs.
