Highest population record?

What is the highest population number ever reached in CS? And also, on what kind of rig was that achieved? I have done a few high pop cities (300k+) before, but the game has snail pace at that point, even at highest game speed the progress is slow then.

some youtuber manage to get to 1 mil population, personally I always get bored after a while and delete my cities so I wouldn't have any experience dealing with high population

I don't think so due to limitations on agents anything after is just a numbers game I would think.

What is the cap on agents? In my cities the fps drops the bigger the city is. My current city is a 200k and I have 25/30fps left. I usually stop building at 300k, because I am afraid that I will fry my CPU :P

68,000 agents is the limit. My city of 92k will slow to 14fps if I angle the camera to view a wide field, and at that only if there is many things going on on the monitor. I believe this is because I enjoy volumes of traffic and pedestrians. I have opened maps with up to 250,000 population and have them run smoother due to no vehicles or pedestrian to be seen.

So here it states that there is a 1 million agent limit for the game. This count includes services and all other agents like criminals, police.....
This shot if you don't wish to get the mod shows the limits. The mod is "CSL Show More Limits"
