Why are my Cims so sick?
My small city has every amenity - and hospitals in spades.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1703392617

I've checked every possible cause of sickness and I can't figure out why they insist on staying sick. Little air, water or noise pollution, plenty of hospitals on major roads, healthcare budget maxed out, sufficient crematoriums.

I waited a long time, with play speed set on fast to see if they just needed to get well.

noise polution?
sewage getting in your water?
industrial ground polution getting into your watersupply?

Sewage in water is common cause of that - look for a water tower on polluted land, or a water pump sucking in sewage.

Your nuclear power is to close to houses.
DavesBrain 4 ABR 2019 a las 5:57 p. m.
I did discover that you really don't want to build an incinerator over your water lines. That tainted the water, but I fixed that and they got better.

And then got worse again.

I did have a water tower right next to the nuclear power plant. That might explain the reports of invisible people and laser eye mutants.

I've demolished it.

Do nuclear plants affect the water? I thought they only generated noise pollution. (And electricity... :p)

NO, nuke plants are the only ones I use. They are maintenance free and don't fluctuate output.

Water pipes are immune to poisoning.

Only water intake can intake pollution and poison your water.

City wide sickness (death) can only be cased by water poisoning.

Make sure to not put water outlet near water intake, as water intake can pull pollution upstream and into your water supply and poison your whole city at once. Don't clump water intake pumps close to each other or they can reverse the river flow and pull polluted water from far away and poison your water supply, or even suck it dry.

A couple of years ago I repaired a city that the landfill had a pipe under it with a connection node to it. I guess a pipe was there but was removed. It too was tainting the water. It'is rare and I have no idea how to reproduce it but that pipe was polluting the water. Removing and replacing the pipe elsewhere fixed it.

It can happen!

If you use the Rainfall mod and it rains on polluted land the rain water will also become polluted and can end up carrying that pollution elsewhere.

That looks sick!

Rather than post a screenshot of the health overlay, post one of the pollution overlay instead.
The sickness is the symptom of the problem and you want to know the cause.
Pollution causes sickness, so you just have to determine which type/s are affecting your residential.
Ground
Water
or Noise
Find the cause, deal with it and prevent it happening again.

Also, once you have dealt with it and ensured there is no more risk, then you should have a sickness free city, which means you can do away with all of those bloody expensive hospitals and clinics ;)

Another thing that can cause widespread sickness is ambulances not being able to reach sick people, or missing ambulance asset so vehicles aren't spawning. Do you see lots of ambulances driving round? Also, do the hospitals/clinics have enough available capacity to house all the sick people or are they full of patients?

And yes, definitely post a screenshot of the pollution info views.

Lol, look at the shot there are ambulances in the shot. That is more than enough coverage for a town of 4000

The angled line between the healthy and sick is from the pump on the healthy side holding back the mixing of polluted water. So this view is very telling and helpful. Though it doesn't point at the source is does plainly show a cause which is water in this case. Seeing that this is a infinite money play why would cost ever factor in a choice?

Heh, I hadn't even looked at the image to be honest ;)
However, regardless of cost, I would do away with all of those otherwise unnecessary health services for the simple reason that I do not want ambulances on the roads which are an unnecessary addition to traffic.
As to the unlimited wealth mod. It's a very useful tool and I use it a lot to get my cities up and running quickly, but I'm still conscious of the expenses and costs services accrue, because eventually I shall turn the mod off once I know that it is viable.

Those health services don't just spawn ambulances making unnecessary traffic, They're providing bed space for actual patients the ambulances bring back. Eliminating said services will seriously cripple a city. Not only that but they only spawn those vehicles needed for said patients. Go ahead, Delete them. Watch the city die. LOL :>)

Either 1) ground pollution, 2) water pollution, or 3) noise pollution. Water towers and pumping stations on polluted areas can cause outbreaks all over your city even if you spam health services.

Also, follow what the other users said, post a screenshot of your pollution overlay views.
