If you created interchange in game, you can use the Move It mod to select the nodes/segments and then "save to disk", then go in asset editor > intersections and "load from disk" to import your intersection from disk, then save it out as an asset.
Note that there are already huge numbers of intersections in the workshop, including cloverleaf, so check to see if yours is better or unique enough otherwise there isn't much point uploading yet another intersection (it's by far the most heavily used section of the workshop with tens of thousands of existing intersections).
Well, that's probably why I couldn't find what I was looking for then. I know there are tons and tons but all of the ones I tried used highway ramps and other assets that I had to unlock first. None seemed to address which type of road was used, so I thought maybe an easier to find one for anyone like me that's looking might help. I didn't make anything unique or special, literally just downgraded the existing Cloverleaf from highway to 2 lane road so that I can use it immediately in a new game.
Thanks for the answer, I wouldn't have thought to do it from in-game!
