Adding STOPS to a current monorail line

Here's where I just don't get it.

I have an existing monorail line covering about 5 miles. Since I run the monorail line first, then build communities alongside, the loop I plan is not yet completed. I have now built my communities to the next to last stop, which will complete a loop.

For some reason, I can't ADD a stop after I've already created stops. I can run the track, complete the loop, but the last stop, the monorail just passes through it. I know I have options like ADD A STOP, MOVE A STOP, and COMPLETE A LINE, but none of them seem to add a stop to an existing line. What to do?

Have you tried deleting the existing line(s) and just starting over? I think I had a similar issues and that's what I had to do.

To add stops, drag the existing line (which goes through a station) towards the station platform and it should create a new stop.
