Run on alternate monitor?
Can I run this on one of my alternate monitors in stead of the primary one?

Yes, by changing it to the primary monitor.

Yes, you must change you secondary monitor to you main monitor. It's a windows thing. You will need to set the primary monitor back to the main display again for other games. Windows always runs games in the primary monitor.

settings, display, select monitor that you want primary, scroll down and select the checkbox for "Make this my main display"

If you don't mind playing windowed mode, then you can drag it to any monitor you want.

I know this thread is like, 2 years old.
But for anyone just finding this now if you switch to "windowed" then move it to another monitor, then switch it back to fullscreen it will stay on the new screen.

And it persists across launches, so you only have to do it once.

@FuzzyLittleBastard yooooo!! This worked on Windows 10 for me as well, and it persisted after relaunching! Took me a minute to find this simple solution.

I know this is an old comment, but it's just wrong. My monitor is my main display, but Cities Skylines always opens on my laptop screen.

This utility makes binding multidisplay configs easily into a launch shortcut.

Windows+Shift+arrow moves a window (even a full-screen one) to other monitors. You can have some issues if they have a different resolution though.

edit: You can use command line arguments to set the resolution
