Not removing dead body abandoned buildings will destroy your town.
I didn't remove a building that was abandoned due to a dead body, and it caused other buildings to have dead people, repeat.

Hearses will not pickup the dead body, which is why the dead bodys stay high and the hearses go unused.

You literally need to bulldoze the building manually, each and everyone.

So your death wave will have you busy bulldosing, either loose the building and electric link, or it will spread to another buidling,

The hearse should pickup the body, but dosen;t. When you start bulldozing abandoned buildings, the body count drops.

The disaster dlc should have included that solution, hazmat or cadaver emergency pandemic service.

Time for yet another mod...? In the us they call that service, FEMA.

I read that the abandon building would just be rebuilt, when wanted, no harm.

But thats not true, the dead body plus abandonment is a double whammy that spreads.

I gotta read what the game info popup says about abandon buildings, but it should have said, they are a plague and if not immediately removed, will pile up your dead bodies skyscraper high.

No amount of hospitals, funding, and herses will fix that.

Body count rising? People sickness skyrocketing?

Don't just build a graveyard. And a hospital.

Look for abandoned buildings full of dead bodies.

Cue the MJ thriller song, when this scenario hits your town. You will get nice and precise with that bulldozer arrow, otherwise, well, there goes the road and all the buildings too.

Have never had that problem in any of my cities... I always have death care, and rarely have a building go abandoned due to a dead body not being picked up... I never have to bulldoze either. The building will be replaced with the demand. If there is no demand, then yes the abandoned building will lower the land value, and MAY cause other buildings to go abandoned.

Tells me you are over zoning residential in too big of sections.

Along with poor road layout and overall traffic management. If hearses aren't coming to pick up dead bodies it's usually two things. Either traffic is so bad, or a mod or asset is causing the issue.

Cims don't become sick, you can only poison them. The game calls poisoning as sickness.

Don't just build a graveyard. And a hospital.

Hospitals aren't even needed if you don't poison your cims. Check your overlay pollution and sound pollution Info View overlap maps and it should show where the poisoning is coming from. It sounds citywide epidemic, which is only caused from water poisoning. Check your pollution overlap map and look at water pollution. If it isn't zero, you have water poisoning. 1% is all it takes to wipe out a lot of your city.

If you use a graveyard (cemetery) and it gets full, it will stop collecting dead and you will need to empty it before they will collect again. Replace all cemeteries with crematoriums. They collect less and you will need more of them, but they have no maintenance.

Look for abandoned buildings full of dead bodies.

Click on your buildings and it will tall you why it went abandoned. Check buildings with sickness avatars and it will tell you what poisoned them in one of the tool tips.

Never bulldoze abandoned buildings as they will tell you what is wrong with your city. They will reoccupy automatically when your city recovers.

You may start your city pumping water upstream in a river, and dumping sewage downstream. But as population grows and you add more pumps, you may be reversing the flow of a small river, allowing sewage to flow toward your pumps.

My problem is the range of the hospitals and graveyards. Its not like police and garbage, but should be, hospitals serve entire cities, so do graveyards.

Precisely why I use water towers exclusively any more.

Just make sure there is nothing underneath the towers.

The roads need green coverage or you can have issues. Nothing covers the whole city except the Monuments. e.g. Medical Center
