But, it sounds like you are generating a lot of traffic. watch out for industry as it exports it if you have too much. So check your outside connections to see if you are exporting anything. You may need to dezone some and maybe add offices in their place if you have access to offices yet.
Just remember, each building creates traffic. also, buildings that level up create more traffic from increased occupancy or jobs.
Maybe extend your highway into your city and make on/off ramps along the highway for quicker access to your city.
Don't zone big areas at the same time.
Only one entry and exit in your city will be hard to deal.
so I just wanna tackle the problem without like destroying what I have
But like I already said. Post a save of your game and we can offer better advice if we can see it in motion.
From the game's main menu, go to Content manager, Savegames, find your saved game, click the share button, make sure it is set to public. then publish the save and copy the link address here.
This will be the quickest route by far.
The round about roads should be 6-lane, 2-way regular. as they are faster and hold more cars. Especially since some of the roundabout roads are a little too shot and cause backups.
But zoning the roundabout makes traffic go in and out of those buildings and cause traffic to back up as well.
EDIT:
Also, connect the highways together. That makes a tiny, tiny intersection and backs up traffic as well.
EDIT 2:
Watch your industry as they product ground pollution and you will poison your residential if the are next door. Keep them 1-2 blocks away or they'llget sick and die.
Same for commerce. Commerce next door to residential will poison them with sound pollution and cause sickness and death as well.
first off what do you mean I zoned my roundabout
I always do so later in game ... as well as putting all highways underground, as soon as they enter the city area (as soon as I have the spare money to do so), with the only things getting to the surface being the entry and exit ramps to the highway ... this way you have much more space to build
I mean the roundabout has buildings on it. They will block traffic if you zone buildings on them as traffic will go to and from buildings constantly which blocks traffic.
beautiful, okay that's a start
