Not In Industry Area!
Any idea what mod is preventing me from placing anything inside the designated new Industry Areas. Even right next to the main building I am getting this message and am unable to place the farms around the main farm house. Same thing with the other new industries. It seems to make a tiny smaller district less than 1 tile larger than the main building and therfor negates me placing anything inside the rest of the district.

If anyone has any idea which mod is doing it, I would greatly appreciate the time saver over going mod by bod to figure it out.

Did you zone for it? Even after placing the main house, you still have to zone for that particular industry.

To clarify a little, did you use the new district tool (In the same place as the new park district tool and original district tool, but has a factory icon in the button) and add a main building of the appropriate type within that boundary?

Yes, I zoned the area first, then placed the main industry building. Even tried to set the zone type to farming manually and still nothing. The main building just creates an itty bitty zone within in the larger zoned district.

You have to paint it with new tool.

``The main building just creates an itty bitty zone within in the larger zoned district.``
You have to enlarge that `` itty bitty zone `` the mainbuilding chttps://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198352953380/screenshot/950716458597965358reates

Use the new tool to expand that itty bitty zone bigger. The new industry buildings go within that new zone. (If you have the Park Life DLC, the new tool is to the right of the park painting tool.)

Setting the district type via clicking on the district name will not work, as it is the main building that determines what type of industry can be placed within the sub-district.

Here's a tutorial made for this. (Note that he doesn't use the regular Distric painter):

Paradox Tutorial

Another tutorial, (Which I think is a little clearer):

Czardus Industries DLC Tutorial

This is not because of mods. I am also having a terrible time... I have zero mods installed.

Use the Industry District Tool. The tool will have what looks like a factory on it. Paint the area then place the main building. if you already placed the main building, there will be a spot of industry area over it, expand it to the size area you want.

Do you wish to revise your post?

No. I figured it out. I am using the Industrial Zone, not the Industrial Zone, and now it works.

Thanx for that, tho! :steamhappy:

One is a industrial zoning (generic or specialized), the other is an industrial area (DLC).

I read a bunch of instructions and they said 'use the Industry Zone Tool' so I did. Over and over. And that didn't work. Eventually I realized that I had to use the Industrial Zone Tool and that worked! :D
