Avoid cars entering pedestrian walkways
Hi

How do I avoid this? You plant nice pedestrian promenades here and there but as soon as you start the simulation, cars enter and drive across it.

Any thoughts? I hope there's possible without TM:PE.

Do you have a screen shot to illustrate this? Vehicles use roads and pedestrians and cyclist use paths.... maybe you have downloaded some roads from the workshop that you thought were pedestrian only?

I think these are the ones included in Network Extensions 2 Mod. There are others, Vanilla afaik, that are only for pedestrians (pavement, gravel and bike) but I don't have problems with those.

I can't take a picture right now but I'll try to make you figure it out.

I think vehicles are supposed to enter the walkways I'm talking about as they drive slower, but sometimes you just want them out. There must be an option to make for pedestrian-only use. Cims should get off their cars at the start of the promenade and go on walking.

If they are from NeXt2 then you can only restrict access by using TMPE

You'll be needing a much faster CPU first if you'll need TMPE, that is the main reason I haven't used the mod yet even once.

Will the restriction of specific vehicles on roads feature will be removed from TMPE to a seperate mod? I don't want the other features of TMPE (such as DLS or advanced AI) as it'll make my i3 CPU explode from suffering.

I see this warning often and I can see why it's appropriate, but I've also been thinking it may depend on how it's used. The impact may not be so heavy if you're just changing lane arrows and stuff. DLS and Advanced AI aren't turned on by default, as far as I know.

What a shame, I don't want to sub to TMPE.

That would be a touché. I only want that feature and the improved use of parkings, nothing else.

While I have a decent CPU (i7 8700k), that mod plus Network Skins make my game stutter as hell. If I get rid of Network Skins, I'm sure I can run TMPE nicely, after all, Network Skins is the broken one (at least for me). Anyway, I would like not to install any other mod, the less, the better.

I have a terrible GPU and Traffic Maneger ran fine back at the start of the year

In my experience, TM:PE doesn't require a faster CPU for traffic banning, lane use or any of the other things found in the onscreen menu. But, when setting up some of the options, like advance traffic AI, despawning, and pocket cars, CPU use does increase, and can do so significantly.

Get TM:PE. Allow service vehicles and emergency vehicle on the pedestrian way, but ban all others.

Howdy y'all - I'm running TM:PE and Network Extensions - even with all lane restrictions applied, cars and trucks are still using my "pedestrian" pathways. Anyone else experiencing this?

Can we get some screenshots of it happening? Just need to be really sure about what specific assets the cars are driving on that they shouldn't - is it definitely NExt2 roads, or quays (updated recently with pedestrian paths) or something else?

EDIT: Just realised this is really old topic; you should probably start new topic as users from 2 years ago are going to get spammed with notifications they don't want.
