Why am I constantly losing money
I started a new game for the first time, built some residential and commercial zones with normal 2 lane roads, a working water and electricity system. Although I am constantly losing money every second and I don't know why... Any help???

In the beginning of the game, your expenses are higher than your tax income. Wait for more people to move in, and your tax income will increase. Just wait untill you have a population of about ~1000. Then you should be making a profit.
You can also cut expenses by lowering the budget for things you have excess of
(i.e. if your power plants produce 50 Mw and your city consumes 15 Mw, then lower the budget for power untill you are producing about 15 Mw. Do this for other services too.)

One other thing you could try doing would be to have a look at the "Budget" section.

If you use the City Vitals mod, that will show you what is needed and if there is anything you have too much off. Really useful for budgeting according to Cim and city needs! :)

Don't use either the water or power policy at first, it sounds legit but if you pass it to early it WILL wreck your economy! Speaking from experience.. just use the water one (I believe is fine, if not just switch them around). *This only applies to early game progress*

- set your taxrate for RCI to 12 % (sims start complaining at 13%)
- set the budged of your utilities (education, power, water etc) to 50% and increase them on demand
