Something strange . Look at https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1529437235.
I have more and more tourist and less and less income. Do I attract only low end tourist ?

I really wouldn't worry about it. Tourism as a source of income is tiny.
Even in your example, at its highest value it was just 3k which is peanuts.
Your biggest revenue earner by far is residential taxation (rent) and nothing else comes close.
Having said that, the best contender for that title is the revenue that can be made from park visitors in the recent Parklife DLC. This single park for example is making 15k per week! Now imagine if I had ten more like it around the city ;)

Ok this is truly unbelievable. I am not even making a profit from my parks, all level 5, all have 1800 attractiveness, all have much more entertainment value than yours (3400-3600), I used policies for each one, all connected to at least 2 transport systems, tried default ticket fee, lower/higher and I only get 122 visitors max in my city of 430k with a global attractiveness of 88%. I only get 2400 tourists per week in the city, I have sightseeing bus tours, walking tours, I made sure visitors are not going through the fence, built all parklife monuments, used the outside connections policy etc.

So my situation is ridiculous compared to what should be. I even checked agent limits, pedestrians count is close to max but I don’t think that’s the issue. To me the whole parklife thing has been useless, complete waste of time. I truly don’t understand how you got that fabulously unbelievable number of visitors for a park.

I'll let you in on my cunning method to boost Park visitors ;)
The above example was a proof of concept experiment and clearly it works. I have recently returned to that city and started over. I edited the map further and set it up to explore the potential of both Parklife and the latest Industries DLC. I'm doing this completely vanilla apart from a couple of assets in order to get the achievements too ;)
Here's a recent savegame,
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1563370575
As you can see, while not as great as it was, my Park visitor boosting method is still effective...

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1563299390
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1563299513
Now here's the trick...
I don't care about the attractiveness or the entertainment value. As long as it looks nice and the entertainment value is enough to level it up then that's all that matters to me.
In order to boost the visitors, this city is called Duo for a reason which is that all of the residential is on one side and all of the commercial and industry is on the other. The only thing in between them is the parks!
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1563368806
That means, in order for the Cims living on one side to be able to go work and shop on the other is to walk through the parks lol. In other words, the attractiveness/entertainment value is irrelevant because they are forced to be paying customers. In fact, the parks effectively become pedestrian toll gates from one side of the city to the other.
All I have to do therefore is to ensure that the walking distance through the park to reach their destinations is possible. This means I need to focus my public transport to round them up and drop them off at the park gates.
Try it out for yourself and you'll see a huge improvement in visitor numbers and park revenue ;)

Thanks for taking the time to explain how you did it. It makes much more sense now :)

I would have expected that with "normal" usage, the parks would generate a bit of income, let's say not 15K as in your case but at least ~7K. In reality, my parks don't even cover their expenses. I wonder if someone was able to generate some relevant income by using them as intended (without using your trick).

As it stands, the whole Parklife mechanics are pretty much useless, with the parks being only eye candy. I already had highest land value and entertainment/leisure covered without this DLC.

Hmm... we may possibly now have a contender for that breadwinner title... Industries DLC.
The potential income that may be generated by fully developed special industries and sales revenue of their spcial products is insane!

Now granted, this is still a small city and if grown to 100-200k or more then the residential taxation would be considerably greater, but so too would the sales to a larger commercial.
This is vanilla too and my mind is spinning with the modded possibilities lol.
So, I think we finally have a new revenue winner in this DLC ;)

I'm at 76M euros with my current city but it's getting harder to have a stable, constant income.

Good to know that Industries has more potential as a viable revenue stream. Will wait for a possible Black Friday / Christmas sale since I've poured quite a bit of money in this game and my latest aquisition (Parklife) has been a complete letdown for me.

Thanks for all the valuable info and insights.

I have three parks in my current City of about 80k. One makes profit of about 2k over it's expenses. (Nature park) One makes profit of about 1k above expenses (city park) and the last loses about 1k. (Theme park). All three are 5 star now.

Waiting until I expand city more to put in zoo.

I have no idea why the one losing money is losing money, it's honestly in the best spot, most Central and close to other tourist spots and transit.

(Unless that's the problem, there's too much to see around that spot already)
