The plague of building in eco-residential
Hi guys and girls!
Since I started to play I've always used "Eco-residential" area. The buildings look pretty nice and I'm pretty eco-friendly as IRL. But I have only the choice between little one or two floor homes, or big buildings. The policies "no high buildings" doesn't work when you choose a specific type of district (there "eco-residential"). Another way, will be to import specific medium eco-residential buildings from the workshop but I didn't notice them.
Someone have an idea for me?
Thanks.

Thanks to reply. I don't understand your screen. I see little homes and medium buildings but it does not look like eco-residential. I forgot to say, I use European suburbia.

Ok, so, I will answer to myself. When you use policies like IT-cluster or Self-sufficient buildings, if you want medium tall buildings you must to size 1x1, 1x2 or max 2x2. To have harmony with low density, you can put this medium building around a area with bigs square. Thats it. Enjoy.

It's NOT buildings with policies like IT-cluster or Self-sufficient buildings. With these policies, the buildings are taller and it's much more difficult to have a harmony between Low and high density then yours.

And most importantly, the low density residential have only two level max, the ground floor and the upstairs.

How about regular commercial? It upgrades into "little" buildings, but beware they generate a lot of noise.

What about parks and trees in-between the short buildings and the tall buildings?

Hi, I tried commercial, and that do the job too (not tourism (to tall) or leisure (to noisy) policies) . But as you say there is a little noise problem. With the park or trees there is no continuity of buildings. It's an aesthetics and practical question, like an urban planner / architect mind would ask himself.
