Under settings you can enable eternal daylight.

Better yet, get "Ultimate Eyecandy" mod and you can set time/weather/etc. to your liking,

I can't fcking beleive there is no button to change day/night, it's my first day playing and you already lost me.:steamfacepalm:

press escape. look at the options. should be a weather and day/night cycle toggle button.

What the OP is asking for is a button or toggle to manually switch between Night and Day, nit a toggle to turn on/Off the Day/Night cycle which there is none besides using Ultimate Eyecandy to do so.
