Multiplayer Update DLC?

I don't know about you guys but a bunch of my friends play this game. It's disappointing that we can't play with each other because the mods dont work anymore. I think they should have an actual update for the game to add multiplayer to the base game because if we spent the twenty dollars on this game, multiplayer isn't something I think would be respectfully accepted as a DLC. That being said if they added a DLC for multiplayer I would buy it instantly. What are your guy's thoughts on multiplayer and should it be a DLC or a part of the base game? It can already be played among friends by sharing the save game and playing on a turn by turn basis. That is fun, but simultaneous multiplayer is not going to happen, DLC or not.

This subject has been discussed very intensly in the past and Id suggest you do a search of the forums and read them. CO has stated most definately that MP will never be a part of the base game. Never!!!

That is disappointing. They should atleast make it so modders could add multiplayer. Plus Idk why they wouldn't add multiplayer to this game. It would bring in more sales and its not like it's micro-transactions and they are losing respect for adding it. I guess they just don't want to go throught the hassel of all the server stuff.

The amount of resources the game uses in this state is One good example why No multi player. Two, see what happened to SimCity and its multi-player feature? FAIL! it would fail here as well.

I think its almsot it is really hard to make a multiplayer game for this, I would love it if they do it, but if you think realistic. How are they supposed to make a multiplayer map or something that still makes it fun? and think of the lag you will get. they will have to change a lot of things before it is even possible, like how would you see it happening? like all on the same map? it will have to get a really really big map. and like area expending and stuff.... it is really ahrd to make a multiplayer version for this game I think
