Forever Boarding...
Has anyone recently experienced an issue in-game, where Public Transport (in my case, Buses, Trains and Monorails) stop at stations/ stops and Board endlessly during the busier times? The Green Boarding status bar reaches 3000% and then restarts from zero again. In one case a train sat at the station for 15 minutes (real time) and didn't move causing a huge backlog of other vehicles to queue up behind it. Same for the buses. Wasn't there a recent patch update released? If so, I'm wondering id this has somehow changed something.

I'm using IPT2, Rush Hour 2 and Advanced Vehicle Selection, having deleted MTSE and TMPE in earlier saves. I tried the Real Time Mod but this caused issues where no one used Public transport at all despite a healthy 30,000+ population.

Apologies if this is a repeat topiuc and I did do a search first before posting but not a lot of (recent) discussion on this one. Is there a fix coming out, or must I delete this city I've spent hours on and start again? Not a great choice in case this issue repeats

I have the exaxt same issue and it only started for me last week after the latest update. I have tried starting a new city and the problem still exists.
I have unsubscribed to all mods and resubscribed but that didn't work.

I am at a lose what to do. Any help out there??

Exactly the same problem, and also started happening very recently. I am trying to understand whether this is a game bug or mod-related issue?

Definitely mods related, doesn't happen in a vanilla game.

Possibly a corrupted transportation line and or buildings.

I'm thinking it might have something to do with vehicle unbunching in IPT2, as the lower I have it set the less it occurs. Still very annoying.

I unsubscribed from IPT2 and it still happens for me.

I have noticed when I created a new bus line in an empty part of my city the buses worked fine but as I built in the area and the buses started getting passengers then they would forever be boarding.

I also tried building a metro and that has the same issue as well.

Anyone figured out whats causing it?

I think I have worked out the cause of the buses forever boarding. Its Rush Hour 2. From the Main Menu go to Content Manager then go to Mods then uncheck Rush Hour 2. Restart the game and then load your city and see if the buses work normally.

Okay, so... Rush Hour 2 has been unsubscribed and deleted. TMPE remains deleted too, but IPT2 has been retained and Real Time has also been re-subscribed. I have since noticed that almost all forms of PT work normally as they should but last night, there was one train which stopped at a station (on a designated line) and sat there from mid morning until evening - in game btw! I had to delete the vehicle before it would resolve. Not entirely happy.

It really annoys me how some of these Patches they release just create more issues than they solve. I do get it though that you cannot hope to release a new Patch which will work with every Mod - that's an unrealistic expectation I think. But with Mods like Real Time and others which make the Game more fun and realistic to reality - these should be considered as to whether the Patch releases actually assist with their performance and if not, then the Patches are not released until they are tested. It might be sometime before this gets resolved.

Not being able to make the most of your mass Transit DLC is irritating!

Same problem. I've unsubcribed from ipt2, rush hour, tmpe, but still works for me.
It was worth to make a map in editor, begin it, and to have that issue after 20 hours of playing..:(

You know, I've tried not to stop the game after 10 minutes of playing, and I've found, that problem is sloooowly reducing, try please too.

I am having this issue too. Did anyone ever resolve it?

Somehow, without even adding new mods recently (in fact I actually removed some), this begins occuring to me. I have like three bugs on my game present (the other is a low population bug, the other one is a low happiness bug).

I DO have unbunching disabled on IPT2's settings, but all buses are on "boarding" phase forever and doesn't leave, it causes too much traffic congestion that my traffic flow decreased from 89% to 70%. It also happens on any simulation unit, such as citizens, private vehicles, service vehicles, and trucks. I am still troubleshooting the cause of the low population bug in my game and I got another new bug for just removing some mods.

It was all working fine on March then my game started to fall apart when April came. I think my game is currently bugged because each city I start has already 70,000-120,000 citizen units, on a empty map of 0 population! Is there a mod or feature that allows clearing all citizens on the map? (similar to TMPE's clear all traffic feature, but for citizens).

Same issue, tried everything I could find in internet regarding this, but with no luck :(

Have you changed vehicle capacities in AVO mod? Sometimes it can confuse the AI.

EDIT: I went through all vanilla vehicles to check their capacities for reference (most have capacity of 30): https://github.com/krzychu124/Cities-Skylines-Traffic-Manager-President-Edition/wiki/Transport-vehicles-taking-too-long-to-load

Thanks everyone for your replies to my post. In the end, I worked out that it was caused by the Real Time Mod. This Mod was great because it added so many levels of realism to the game, but as in most cases there are drawbacks, and the constantly stalled trains and buses at stops just created so much grief, that I just uninstalled Real Time and left it at that. Real Time also had issues with other useful Mods like TMPE for example.

If however you opted to place Train Stations with multiple Platforms or larger Bus stations, then the stalled vehicle could sit there all day whilst other Platforms handled the load on other lines. I could also pretend that the train wasn't moving because the driver was late starting his/ her shift and hadn't shown up on time! But that's on a good day. Mostly, this issue just caused irritation hence it was better to opt for shorter days.
