DLC Carols, Candles and Candy completely vanishes
Hi all,

Since December the supposed "free" DLC Carols, etc.. doesn't show up in my radio list. The folder wirh the songs are there in my CS radios directory, but the station doesn1t show up in my game. I have found the songs inside the Jazz Station list, but the game simply disregard them. The Jazz station plays its own songs, and ignore the Carols' songs.

By the way, I'm not using any music mod.

Does anyone have same problem?

I have a similar problem here.. Simply I bought the jazz station and I checked the carols DLC too. I just can't get them installed at all, no matter how many times I try to uncheck and check their box, it just won't download.

It's a huge mess, really. And still no solution from Paradox or Colossal Order...

Christmas is over and so all of the christmassy decorations have been packed away until next time. It's not a problem.
If you have an urge to play whatever music you wish, even if it is christmas jingles, then use this mod and play your own melodies.

I was using it to play my own christmas tunes long before that DLC became available.

I think I might have found a solution, on steam, go in settings, web browser, and click delete web browser and delete all browser cookies. It fixed it for me! At least it's downloading them now.

What kind of silly reasoning is this?
Still at your old tricks of ignoring issues and talking out of your ass.

Good on you for not taking grapplehoeker's word for gospel. ;)

since Portwills issue is different from the OP the "fix" will not work.

Portwills' issue is that the DLC will not install, the OP's issue is the DLC will not play in game. as grapple said, the DLC will not play as it's no longer Christmas. the songs will probably start playing again in December.

The main questions is NOT to listen christmas songs, but the recurring problems with DLCs. I mean, if the DLC is offered, it must work as expected. That's my point.

well your question is about listening to Christmas songs as that is the DLC that isn't working. the carols DLC does not give you a new radio station, it inserts and plays Christmas songs in amongst the already existing radio stations. the songs only appeared around the Christmas period so now that it is February they will not play.

Ok, now I do undestand. But as far as I can remember, Colossal Order didn't explain that when they launched the DLC back in December. If they did so, it was a very inconspicuous footnote. Anyway, thanks. I'll not complain about it anymore.

It's in the DLC description.

Tis the DLCeason! With Carols, Candles and Candy, yule feel right at home with five new Christmas carols remade in multiple genres: Classic Jazz, Latin Jazz, Country, Indie and Indietronica. The songs will be randomly played across existing radio stations once you download the DLC. It’s free! Besides, you can't prove Chirpy is not a partridge, and Paradox Interactive is spelled with No L. Happy holidays, city-builders.

Song List
1. Houston River Jazz Collective - "Silent Night"
2. Jazz in-clave - "Holy Night"
3. Martin Carlberg - "The First Noel"
4. Lily La Roux - "Jolly Old St Nicholas"
5. Elijha MotI - "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day"

Where, exactly?

This doesn't explain how they will not be available for people after christmas.

Head over to the Paradox forum and describe your issue there.
