Turnoff only accessible from one side of 4-lane road?
I have a crossroad junction controlled by stop signs where the large numbers of people turning left (on a left-hand drive map) were creating congestion. I added a one-way slip road off of the priority road they come from (a 4 lane road with trees) to reduce this and it's worked really well - but it would work better if I could figure out a way to make it so only that side of the road can turn and not those coming from the other direction (i.e. the median in the middle of the avenue didn't break, stopping traffic crossing the avenue to use the slip road). There was a way to do this in SC4 when a small road joined an avenue, but I've tried a range of different road types for the slip road and the main road, but I can't figure it out. I don't want to add a stop sign as this affects all traffic coming to the junction, not just those turning across traffic.

In case it helps I have After Dark, Mass Transit and Natural Disasters DLC. Unfortunately my computer isn't up to adding lots of mods, so it may be something I have to live with, but thought I'd check I hadn't missed something first! Cheers.

This mod may have the extra road types that may be of help to you.

NetworkExtensions2 is a large download though it is NOT a resource taxing mod.
As odd as this will sound perhaps your solve is to get the undesirable turning or interfering traffic to do there turns at another intersection. I often do this when I have an intersection that has a great amount left turning traffic. If you were to post a screenshot I believe I could make an understandable suggestion or someone else could. I have two other clips that show solves for this traffic problem. May they spark ideas for you.

Examine the first intersection. As weird as it looks it does allow the troublesome left turners to interfere less at the intersection. (Old version this intersection looks like this no more but does the same job)

Here I actually convince the traffic to make there left turns at another intersection so that they stop blocking the traffic going through this intersection.
Look for the second repair @6:00

Thanks all - lots of ideas to try out, and good to know that Network Extensions is not that draining to use. The use of speed limits to set preferences for routes is something I hadn’t thought of, so thanks for that in particular! Will test some stuff and come back with screenshots if I’m still stuck :)

Consider creating a roundabout traffic flow in the direction of the most heavily used traffic direction that consists of a full house block like for example this one (6 lanes not required!):

I'm sorry but...
horrible layout
distances between intersections are far too short
nobody should ever zone buildings that require services and delivery adjacent or inside a roundabout - it would defeat the objective

You can make a one-way roundabout-ish block.

Requiring services, deliveries is not relevant, objects in such roundabouts will be able to send and receive without problems.
Even real life large cities like (New York) do this to manage traffic flow more efficiently. And that also works, sometimes, depending on the traffic flows, in this game.
I'm sorry, but no. Regular service patrol vehicles are an unnecessary added vehicle to what may already be a busy roundabout.
Zoning commercial within or adjacent to a roundabout, will require regular deliveries and so you're adding delivery freight to the traffic in this location too. These will obstruct flow along the zoned lane too, thus reducing the flow efficiency of the roundabout and defeat its purpose.
That also doesn't account for the pedestrians that will hinder traffic as they cross to visit the shops in the roundabout's centre.
Take a good look around at roundabouts used in the real world. They are predominantly used to disperse traffic and hardly ever built upon.
Avoid confusing a roundabout with a one way system of roads around a block.
