All New Parklife assets are Locked
I just bought Parklife and I started a new map and I just cannot figure out how to build a park. All of the assets for all the different types of parks are locked and I cannot place them. The different roads are available but thats it. No main gate, side gate or any asset. Can anyone tell me how to unlock them or what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Each park will tell you what you need to unlock them.

They typically unlock based on population level

The Park Life stuff has varying unlocks. Usually with using certain ParkLife abilities. Or certain park levels. I haven't messed with it yet. But busy with Subnautica lately.

Did you zone for a park?

For parks, you need to unlock the "Boom Town" milestone to even make your first park. You need to draw a park area, like districts for specialized residential, commericial, or industrial. Then, you put down your main gate (big or small version) and then your park starts at Level 1. From there, you can expand it to increase its Entertainment value in order to attract visitors. That way you can upgrade your park and unlock more park buildings (depending on what type of park you make; city park, zoo, amusement park, or nature reserve).

*snip - made an assumption that wasn't true. Parks and park districts are available at Tiny Towns in my current game.*

Once you create a park district, the first batch of park buildings will become available.

I know this is a bit late to this thread it might be useful for some.

I found that when I added Park Life none of the assets became active in my save. So I started a new game and as soon as I reached population of 2400 the assets became available. I went back to the previous save and realised that I had already reached that population level when I added the Park Life DLC.

So it seems that the assets are only activated exactly when the population goal is met but not if the package is added after the fact. I didn't play the save to the next milestone to check if that event would enable the assets.

They are activated immediately when you purchase the DLC.

Certain things unlock at different times throughout the game though, depending what you want to build. Unless you start with an unlock mod.
