Mods for Better Garbage Incenirator and Power
Does anyone know a good (and reliable) mod for garbage incenirator? I have four landfills and one incenirator for my city (third one so far playing it). I also would like to know if there is a mod for power aka electricity. So far, I have a lot of windmills and two Coal Power Plants, including one incenirator, but it seems to me that my city uses a lot of power even with the Electricity Consumption policy is enabled for the entire city. If anyone can help, please leave a reply below and thank you.

Why do you need a mod? Just plop down more services.

To reduce consumption, plop schools. Educated cims consume less.

I am just wondering if there is a better alternative to landfill, incenirator, and better power plant or something.

It is better to play without mods to get a feel of the game rather than using mods that alter gameplay and cause you to build wrong and have to learn new rules that don't really apply and then ultimately find the mod actually makes things worse in the long run and has ruined your city beyond repair. or at least easier to start over than fix things.

To answer your question, yes there are tons of workshop items that will do what you want. Just search the workshop. I don't use workshop but a few info/utility workshop items, so I don't know too much about whats available.

FYI, there is a monument in game for the Hadron Collider that gives full education with a single building. but it has some quirks as well.

I use recycling plants exclusively as soon as I can replace landfills. IMO incinerators are totally pointless, too much ground pollution for a small amount of power, go green with recycling plants.

As for power, i use coal at start and wait till solar arrives then change to solar. I admit solar does decrease during the night as wind also drops when wind drops, but the drop in solar is way less % wise than wind. Eg, max wind (10 speed) means 8kw but wind drops to below 3 speed very often especially after the weather mechanics were introduced. This means u will b lucky to get 3kw from each land turbine.

The cost of coal and the small amount of traffic at start getting coal, up to intro of solar is worth thinking about (oil is more expensive per kw). Use of solar at night is an approx fall of 25-30% and is the cheapest power apart from hydro. Most maps will not produce 1600kw unless you make considereable terraforming of the maps for hydro.

In short, go recycling plants and solar plants when they become available.

Another, there are people who get mods and assets mixed up, I use downloaded assets for recycling center until green cities which has 1 but does have a small amount of ground pollution under it. Mods change gameplay, assets are basically buildings and vehicles etc.

Forget the power policy, it's a waste of time and money imo.

Bulild a more incinerators. Maybe a LOT more. Ideally you need recycling centres too but I think they're only available from the Green Cities dlc.

In the short-term, try to move away from landfills and into incinerators, no matter how many you have to build - just keep them away from residential areas, obviously.

When you have the opportunity (I forget the population requirement) move over to Nuclear plants. Clean, reliable, and massive power availability.

Meanwhile, if you are tempted by Green Cities, you will also get access to a ton of 'alternative' energy solutions up to and including geothermal.

While you're stuck with wind power though, don't overlook the water-borne variant: it is way more efficient than the regular version.
