Buses waiting too long
I have one bus line with two stops and 9 buses. The distance between the two stops is almost equal. My problem is that each bus is waiting much too long at the stops. Consequently, the following buses have to wait and are blocking the roads. Each bus waits until the previous one has reached the next stop. That's about 17 seconds! This is much too long. Why are they wait so long? I thought this got balanced better in a previous release. I guess the whole loop takes about 50 s, so 17 s waiting time is pretty much.

You need mores stops and more distance between the stops. Your busses are waiting to create space between the stops but because you only have two you have a never ending cycle of waiting busses.

More stops would create less distance between the stops, not more. More stops would slow the busses even more. The busses should create less space, not more. More busses -> less space for each of them. I mean, the waiting time is as long as if there would be 3 busses on the track, but there are 9.

You only have 2 stops for 9 busses.

Yes, that's why stopps should be shorter.

I wish you good luck with your game, I'm done here.

What is trying to be said is you have too many busses for two stops. For two stops I think more than three busses would start to bunch up unless the distance between the stops is great.

Agree. I've used such 'shuttle buses' in some of my cities in the past to transport workers to distant industrial areas and they have worked well, but the distance between the stops were very large. If it is a short distance, I don't think you'll ever get it to work as you had hoped.

Vehicle unbunching is the culprit; it was added to the game in one of the patches.

May use the IPT-Mod? you can choose how much Vehicles should be on the line. For Two Stops you should need 2 or 3 Busses. and you can change the distance between the Busses

My suggestion is to lower funding for that line which you can do by clicking the transportation tab and going to your bus line and selecting any stop on your route and lower the budget, which will lessen the amount of buses

You can lower funding as a whole or per line, up to you

Just a quick fyi this is built into the game now, so no need for this particular mod

It's not a bad one, but was just letting you know it's built in now in case you or anyone else didnt know

Can't remember if it's an ingame feature or a mod (got to many mods, never played vanilla) but when i inspect a bus line i can reset the bus line and give the busses an interval between busses so they don't leave all at once and stick together.

it was a mod to start with and then unbunching got added into the game

If I didn't need that many busses, I wouldn't have increased the number to 500%. No mod BTW.

I've changed the road layout a little. It didn't change the length of the track significantly or the number of busses, but now the waiting timing has been decreased to 3 s. Works. Was probably a computation problem with the previous roads. Whyever. Solved for my part.
(Meanwhile, I've deleted the bus line and added a metro line instead.)

Thanks anyway.
