Loading takes 10 minutes..............
Ever since I bought the Parklife DLC loading a new or saved game takes 10 minutes. I even went so far and removed every single mod, map and asset from the workshop, but that didn't help.

I feel incredibly disappointed with the developers. C:S had always had problems with performance, long load times and poorly optimized AI, but if this doesn't get hotfixed/patched soon, I'll stop buying DLCs and leave C:S behind.

Get it together, Colossal Order.

Thanks! I fixed the issue, by the way, by reinstalling C:S, but only with the DLCs I really need, and left out all the small ones (like the radio stations, etc.). Now the loading time is down to 4 minutes, which is still a bit long, but definitely more acceptable. :steamhappy:

Paradox games usually seem to take a long time to load. The load time is much less on an ssd than on an hdd. I would suggest that you upgrade your storage drive if you can.

The game is already installed on a SSD. I solved the issue, by upgrading my RAM to 8GB. The game only takes a minute to load now.

You UPGRADED to 8GB? You must not have any mods because I know for a fact that... with only AD and Parklife my game uses practically 8GB BEFORE loading the custom assets lol.

I would of honestly got a 16GB kit but nobody was there to tell you...

The reason it takes so long is probably this reason, as mine loads in 1 minute (literally) with 2 DLC's and 500~ assets.

Ensure you have loading screen mod.

Edit: You should really monitor your hardware usage while you game, to check after.

Something is not right there. I have all the major DLC and the game uses about 5,5 GB without custom content.

Try the Loading Screen Mod. It incredibly shortens loading times and gives you reports on which assets/ props are missing in your city simoultaneously.

That's surprising. You sure of this? What do you use to monitor usage?

Regardless, even 5.5GB is almost running the 8GB to the limit if you consider RAM usage for the OS & background apps are also on top of that, and then also reserved memory.
