Pedestrian Paths inside Train Stations
Hey everyone,
I was just playing around with train station assets in the asset editor and have a burning question.
Some train stations have the People going to the platforms walk along a certain path, for example up a staircase or an escalator. In the asset editor this path is represented with a pink line and I'm wondering how you can edit or create such a path.

I've done a bunch of googling and fiddling around in the asset editor, but I just can't figure out how to do this. I couldn't even find anyone mentioning it except this empty Forum Thread from three years ago (see below). Even the official Cities:Skylines Wiki doesn't say anything about this.

It's really surprising because I've seen this being done several times already despite there being seemingly no information about it on the Internet. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this.

Have you considered asking the modders themselves in the Comments section of the Workshop page for their asset?

Yes I have, but I figured I could get more Peoples attention if I post a forum thread. I could try and link this thread to BadPeanut though.

I mod train stations all the time. I built a a sunken train station as well.
If you add the following mod and only turn it on when editing assets you will see several path tools exposed.
The ones you need are ground level paths, and tunnel paths.
Tunnel paths basically hide the cims going through them, and ground level paths act like invisible sidewalks.
Make sure you also have Move It Mod running. It will help moving these paths around and getting curves and getting them elevated.
Note cims do not walk on escalators they are cosmetic. They walk along the invisible path line.
Final note, all paths need to touch the edge of the train station track and eventually lead to the edge of the asset where the street would be laid.
