Zoom/move the map to fit.
EDIT:
Also, the game likes maps to be a ratio of 1:1 (18km) for things to line up properly. It shouldn't affect the overlay, just building your city.
When I go into photoshop to paste in higher res images of google maps and I start at the top, all the new images line up perfectly but by the time I get half way through, all the other images are way out of line due to the skewing effect from the terrain.party grid, it's really weird.
I'm just trying to create one big image overlay that is higher quailty and shows more roads etc etc, instead of having to load a new image everytime I move onto a different grid.
Not sure what you mean by a complete square. I just use an image slightly larger than that the area and zoom to fit the gride in game. It;s not 100% I don't think. Don't really see the issue. I mean it's just a game.
But you're just looks off center is all. all you really need is for the map grids to match the game grid and you should be fine.
But you're going to run into major issues as your map isn't a 1:1 representation. Streets won't line up properly because of room.
All of the maps? Not sure what that means either. If you're altering maps, than maybe that's the issue.
Not sure why you need to load images over and over? They should align right out of the gate.
I used EvenBetterImageOverlay as it has more options on map manipulation. All I did was export the map, then screenshot the same time and cropped it with a little overhang and it fit relatively perfectly.
