I usually find 1000 assets is more than enough for one city. So, even though I'm subscribed to a lot more than that, I only enable what I know I'm going to use.
Most likely only a few hundred, unless you plop every single building in the city. I've worked on quite a few peoples saved game with over 7,000 workshop on occasion. I've never seen over 400 assets in a city yet.
FYI, tell Loading Screen Mod to generate a report, and it'll tell you how many assets are in your city being used.

and then ask yourself every time you want to hit the "Subscribe" button if you really really really need this mod.
And then stop subscribing to "nice to have" mods as soon as you have 50 mods
I totally get it....
I recently got a new Aurora R8 and went went from a 30+ min loading time to a 10 min loading time. So... now I feel like I can x out of the game get more stuff that I need for my build and get back to building. ya, it makes it worse...
