Game changed language(Need help to fix)
Hey guys,

Decided to play Cities: Skylines now and the game has started in chinese/japanese probably from a Mod or something but I will check that out later. Anyway since I can't read or understand anything so I don't know how to get to the language selection options and change it.

I'd like to request some assistance in this matter. I think I could go to the options and change it if someone could somehow tell me the path to it but keep in mind that I see weird symbols instead of letters.

First you have to find the mod and remove it. Usually a translator mod.

Then at the game's main menu, Options should be the 6th one from the top.

Then Gameplay should be in the third one down on the left sidebar.

Then there should be a language dropdown box you can select in the right section at the top.

This can happen when you sub a collection including mods.
Always check a collection thoroughly before use.
You must be familiar with every mod you sub. Not only to avoid this situation, but also so that you can check the workshop page for every mod you sub on a routine basis for any changes made to the mod.

I've been quite busy lately and didn't had time to do anything yet.

I will try the advices/tips of yours when I have some free time.
Thanks guys for replying.

You can find your recently subscribed mods/assets via Workshop tab in Steam:

* Go to workshop tab
* In sidebar on right, select "Subscribed items" from the "Your files" dropdown
* You get a list of subscribed items with the most recently subscribed at top of list

Just change the language back to English and select it in the dropdown box.

@Meesmoth: Some translation mods overwrite the English language files rather than adding new languages, so only way to get back to correct language is to unsubscribe the translation mod.
