Screensaver while game running.
Is there any way to have an active screensaver while Cities: Skyline is running?

Given the game is built to be able to run in the background I would think it should be possible, as to how to make it happen, I have no idea where to begin as while the game is running a screensaver shouldn't popup as the computer would seem to be in active use as far as the screensaver software is concerned.

Why would you want to have screensaver on ?
Because I do...

Don't think you can but I might be wrong. Didn't even know they still exists.

The game basically has a built-in screensaver already, click on one of the camera icons in the bottom right corner.

Screensavers were only ever useful for CRT and early LCD monitors that would suffer from "image burn" as well shortening their lifespan. But modern LED monitors don't suffer from image burns so Screensavers are totally passé.

Burn-in has sadly returned with OLED starting to get more popular. Not many are gaming PC stuff on OLED, but it's possible. I'm scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when I realize I've played the same game with the same UI elements for hours myself.
Some LEDs can burn in, but it's very rare and you would have to leave it on on the exact same image for very, very very long.

Not sure why the OP couldn't just turn off the screen though?

Your laptop probably has a hotkey combination for turning the screen off.

In case you have to get up for a few minutes but leave the game on? (I'm not sure if pausing, or opening the menu, lets the screen saver run.)
