Pop-ups does not show up on my game, even I leave it running for 12 hours.
Mine only show up for a while. they are just letting you know a new thjing is availabnle to use. But I agree, it does get annoying if you have already been through all of the unlocks already. The game even records these in the game files. so it knows they have been accomplished.
But at 5-hours game time, then this shouldn't be that annoying. Sounds like OP is just fussing about nothing.
1 window where these unlock messages pop up in which are hidden by a button (flash on new message type) in one of the corners of the screen. Yes you can see a list of what you unlocked then plus all the information added to that, but no you won't get spammed with messages of unlocks all the time. Also it may help a lot if everything you unlocked gets mentioned in 1 single go in that window. It would help a lot and gets rid of the annoyance that is in the game now.

I don't think the popups themselves are really the issue, it is they popup over buttons of the UI. Maybe they need to be in Chirpy? Maybe numbers over buttons so, each item says how many new things were unlocked? I take back the Chirpy comment. It resizes itself with every message and blocks my clicks on the map. Although, I've subconsciously learn to be prepared for it, but it still get me occasionally.
Any experienced player should know about this, since it's on the Options menu since Parklife? I can't even remember when it was added. The OP is complaining about something that can be easily disabled on a menu that is easier rather than starting a discussion thread like this. It's getting nowhere.
