Suddenly everything says low land value?
I have a city of ~150k. Everything was going fine, but now all of a sudden, buildings across the entire map are complaining of low land value. This is strange, because I didn't really change anything, and if I pull up the land value screen, the land value looks fine.
The only thing that could have changed this is that recently there's been a gigantic wave of trash issues which may have caused ground pollution, but a: on the pollution screen I don't see ground pollution and b: again, the land value looks fine. Not only are the high-level buildings complaining, but lower level buildings are also complaining. How do I fix this?
I can't post the city because there's way too many assets being used. Sorry for the somewhat vague description.

All the symptoms sound right to lower land value. I can imagine subtle changes in the land value overlay would be hard to spot. The land value has dropped due to the trash issue polluting the ground. This pollution by trash can be hard to spot in the pollution overlay.
Perhaps this clip can help.

Mind you I had an issue with my main city having an odd issue with land value in tiny pockets or just a couple homes here and there across the city. Never did find an answer and in time it corrected itself. This was before the DLC release.

Thanks, I also suspected the trash issue. However, I can see that some areas with the low land value are subtly lacking some services (medical, fire, police, parks, education). There's two things I can do:
1- bite the bullet and build tons of services (it's important to note here that for some reason my income went from +20k to -100k without a huge loss of buildings...?)
2- wait for them to all die and have new lower level buildings move in.
This doesn't explain why they were fine before and now suddenly need more land value.
But I'll run the simulation a bit and see how it plays out. As of now, the population suddenly dropped 130k but is stabilizing.

I hope you mean dropped to 130 rather a loss of 130. A 20k drop through a trash issue I can understand. I can imaging some folks expiring due to not getting help in time for their illness. The huge drop in income is interesting.

Few hours later, seems like most issues have fixed themselves, except the income is still lower...
I'll consider it fixed though.

This may be a late reaction to the post, but did you put your game on hard mode? I accidentally did in my mods menu and that made maintenence more expensive for buildings (which made me pay more for everything) and it may affect land value.

For what it's worth. this happened to me recently and it was the fact that i accidentally ticked hard mode in mods menu. VSerge06 was on the right track. Once it was unticked .everything started to return to normal, Hope this helps future players,
