*help* Changing road textures?

I am currently subscribed to Sparky66's Narrow road pack. But problem is the entire road is the pavement texture as apposed to being a traditional road having the sidewalk being the pavement texture and road being asphalt. If you see the link you know what i mean. The first road is a basic vanilla road and the second road is the narrow road that i want to change.

I know i can used ploppable asphalt which is what i have been doing but it's just really time consuming and placing it on a slope is a nightmare. I have been trying to change it in road editor but i just cant seem to do it. Everytime i try i get something like the second picture in the link.

I used mod tools to export the mesh/texture? but i cant seem to get the actual texture of the road (i'm not really sure which one is the texture?) and even if i did i'm not sure how to reload it back to the new road....

Any help would be really appreciated.

McWelshman took over that project, try replacing Sparks roads with his as there's far more detailing and texturing.

Thanks! But i want the exact same roads. The roads you recommended are good but i still want to know if i can change the original roads.
