Mountain shadow glitch: anyone else having this issue?
This is the problem: upon zooming into the shadows created by mountains, specifically in the morning/afternoon hours of the game, the shadows disappear. Completely. Even the trees on top of the mountains will still cast shadows in the distance and appear to be floating.

I have tried the following:
-Combinations of diff. graphics settings
-Disable all mods, assets, etc.
-Reinstallation
-Updated graphics card drivers (I have a GTX 1060 max q)
-Messed with a number of commands to force d9, etc.
-Disabled steam overlay

I'm running out of potential solutions. Can anyone confirm that they've had this issue even? I've seen a few other threads about it - none of them have been resovled. Thanks.

Why are you asking if anyone else has this issue? Are you seeking some sort of comfort by way of sympathy?
Or, are you in search of a solution? If so, then rather than seek a morale boosting discussion here, post a ticket where your issue can be dealt with.

You know how many issues I've solved over the years because of coming to forums like steam? Yes, other people have likely had the issue, as it is easily replicatable. I have also submitted a ticket, but it'll be a few days before they get back. And there's a VERY GOOD chance they'll recommend nothing that will work.

Piss off mate - no reason to be a ♥♥♥♥.

Did you set the shadow quality to high and shadow length to long in the options?

Yes. I am playing on maximum settings. I have tried a number of combinations of different graphics. I was also thinking it could be that I am just zooming out of rendering distance for mountain shadows. No such luck.
so what was the outcome to this?
