Bus depot not connected.
I keep getting message of bus depot not connected, but I can't make a connection to it. In fact, I never have had to before now. I know the newer bus depot needs a connection, but not this one.

I get the red, road not connected icon. I moved the depot and it went away. It came back. I placed a new line and placed a bus stop in front of the depot and the icon went away, but now it's back.

Its because your line #5 is isolated on the other side of the river with no access to the bus station. I dont know if you noticed but that line had 0 buses. Just plonk it on the other side of the river and it works.

BTW dont you get confused with all your bus lines the same colour?

Bus depots may have certain lines attached to them. If you move a bus depot to a place that's inaccessible from some parts of the city, this may happen.

It appears to me that the frontage of the bus depot, the long part with the not connected icon, is not adjacent to a road, or the road doesn't go far enough to establish the connection.

Can you elaborate? I don't use transportation options much.

If you move a bus depot to a place that's inaccessible from some parts of the city, this may happen.

I use nothing but 2-way, 2-lane roads. I have no dead ends.

Not sure how they get inaccessible.

I moved it. Well moved it over one notch. My other one has no issues. Neither have a bus line connected to them. It's just this one got a road disconnected late game. It seems to work without issues. It just has that annoying red flashing icon.

Maybe a bus stop messed with the alignment of the building to the road? I'll try to relocate it to a new spot and see what happens.

Okay, I loaded up the game. Moved the bus stop and it is fine.

I then placed a new bus depot in the old spot and immediate road not connected symbol.

Buses were coming out. It went from 30 to now 49. What is the limit anyway. At 100% budget that is.

Bus lines are not attached permanently to any depot as far as I know, if you have 2 and delete one then the surviving one takes over, as long as buses from the depot can reach the extra lines. All I get when placing a bus depot is that has to be placed by a road and snaps to that...

It seems the bus depot just isn't aligning to the road for some reason. But it sends out buses.

But after reading the error message. It just basically states just new buses won't spawn because it's not connected to the road. I originally thought it said the bus line needed connecting.

Maybe I should get some sleep. Cold kept me up all night. I now feel like I'm drunk driving this game. lol

the front of the depot is the side that shows the 'not connected' icon so that should snap to the road, have you a mod that allows you to "not snap" ?

No, I have no workshop. I am trying for an achivement.

But I'm baffled as to why it won't snap. It snaps everywhere else. It is just started popping up. Been working fine most of the achievement.

I checked and the trophy was lit up for no mods active.

FYI, I launch the game with -noWorkshop -disableMods just in case I forget I have something subscribed, or enabled built-in mods.

Ah, I didn't notice. I never pay attention to my lines. lol I mostly plop them for happiness and get workers to the jobs. I didn't realize that other bus line I made across the river needed buses. I mean everything else seems to teleport across the river. It never occurred to me I that I needed a bus depot over there to. But it makes perfect sense.

Yes. lol I always get them confused. But I never manage my transportation much at all anyway.

I just did an unusual thing like make that little island district across the river to force trains to deliver cims to act as a ferry to get my achievement for number of passengers by train.

But I laid down the district and ran out of money to place the trains. I forget they'll teleport to work if they can't get there on time. so by the time I saved up for train stations, everyone was fully employed. lol

That's why I put the stadiums in. They draw a lot of tourist in town.

But thanks for figuring it out for me. My brain was too tired to think any more.
