- Do you like build a huge Campus University with many faculties and related buildings?
- Do you like to build huge parks, zoos, natural reserve and amusement parks?
Then you chose.
The only point l see both DLCs similar is the zoning tool , but the way they can affect your city building and devellopment is much more different .
IMO , Campus is a nice DLC and eye candy - l like it - but l see it more being a nice topping while Park Life offers the ability to change the economic base of your city in a way , that was impossible before .
def if you don't play with unlimited money & ploppables, cause Campus will function first in a city above 50 000, beneath it's just a sink hole for your city's money & you'll do better with a base game university, but your parks will make your city money & will level up steadily, giving you more design options pretty easily
Campus I have no idea. It looks a bit pointless to me and is too expensive.
QFT.
Campus Universities are indeed money sink holes when you build them early on. IIRC it unlocks extremely early on too, which is why you're kinda pressured to build one ASAP to satisfy your city's need for Highly Educated Cims.
I don't use the Infinite Money in game mod because that's just too damn cheaty, but I do use the "Cash on Demand (500k) Variant" mod as a sort of modded Bail out without interest, along with the "Unlock All Roads" mod, becauae I practice laying out my city/ies' Road (And sometimes including rail) infrustructure before I actually plan out where which zone and/or area should go. A habit I learned and carried over from playing SIMCity 4 for years long before Cities Skylines even came out.
