The intel integrated graphics problem
I'm on Macbook Air with integrated graphics:

Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

i5 1.4 Ghz

8GB Ram

I have a 4 tile city with a population of 36,760 at present. I'm running the game on a mixture between medium and low settings without mods.

I have had zero problems so far. I know they will come eventually - and probably are not too far away now - but after many hours I am getting great enjoyment out of this. At this point I feel I got my money's worth out of it and don't mind at all playing up to this population at all.

The prejudice against integrated graphics is astounding though. Sure, they'll never be as good as a GPU but they aren't terrible anymore.

All prejudice aside, the Store page clearly states in the game requirements that Intel HD Graphics is not supported. The devs have also confirmed this on numerous occasions.

I don't think it's a prejudice per say , just that it's aparently rather hard to get stuff to run well on it, a few games run okay but most are just buggy and crashy. I have been told by a few devs that they tried and it's a bug they can't get around.
