As soon as you have crematoriums and incinerators with enough capacity, you can sit back and watch your city function.
Tried out the game before a few times (though never more than an hour), and I could kind of see that it requires some learning and preparations until I can build something that actually works, but that's something I don't really mind if the reward worth it. Thanks for your answer as well!
You may play at your own pace and always remember, YOU are the city builder and you decide what to build and when. Don't allow the 'demands' to dictate to you what you should build - you decide.
Make use of the many excellent guides in the Workshop to help you learn.
When you have experimented and learned the game mechanic, then you may consider using mods to enhance and compliment your skills. Do not expect mods to compensate for your lack of experience though. You need to learn the game first and then too, learn how to use the mods effectively.
In any case, have fun. The game is very simple and forgiving. It will allow you to express your imagination and creativity ;)
Thanks for your answer!
Oh man, if it's as fun as doing it in Planet Coaster, I don't need more convincing!
