Even Vanilla Crashes

welp, i give up... no matter what i try, since the December 11th patch i simply CANNOT play the game. it starts no problem, and even loads a map, but the second i zoom in on a road, and in some cases, move the camera slightly, the game immediately freezes, and i have to force quit. Mind you, i do have a Macbook, but i doubt that that's the problem, as prior to the patch and 1.6, nothing as bad as this has happened.


Even in vanilla, with lowest settings, no mods OR assets, force Dx9, and game reinstalled twice, still freezing. Im about ready to take a long holiday break from this game, as this is the most catastrophic failure i've ever had with this game... I don't know what else to do, other than upgrade the RAM, but this problem seems too diverse and common among the community to even think that that is the solution...

Did you uninstall mods and start a new game or just disable them? I'd start a new city after unsubscribing from uncompat mods such as the old dynamic resolution mod (can use the updated one).

I used the -no workshop and -disablemods commands, and went through and unsubscribed incompatible and outdated mods and assets. Even with no non-vanilla content, still freezing almost immediately

They have to work this ♥♥♥♥ out, complained about it two weeks ago and they didn't fix it in the last patch!

I'll give it another week, but I'm gonna go through all my content anyway, just in case. It's sad that this is happening, and to multiple people. Ironically, this makes simcity more appealing right now, as I can actually play that game

Did you use two dashes in your command or just the one as in your post?

Disable Workshop (Assets and Mods)
--noWorkshop

Disable Mods
--disableMods

I feel the same but I still think it's a shame since I haven't been able to play the game since I purchased the disasters Dlc

what's the difference?,not being rude, I need to know for sure. when i use one dash, nothing shows up in content manager, not even hard mode or unlimited money.

Edit: tried it out (added extra dashes) at 3:22 pm, literally nothing changed.

i couldn't find anything related to my problem that i haven't tried, but thanks anyway. Like i said, i'll give it a week to sort out any potential problems. If by christmas nothing has changed, i might have consider other more drastic options, like either quitting the game indefinetely, or upgrading my computer, which is expensive
